Women’s Health services
If you have any issues with bladder control, constipation, prolapse, pelvic pain, have recently given birth or just want to ensure your pelvic floor and tummy muscles are functioning as they should then our women’s health service can help you.
Your assessment will include a detailed history discussion, postural and movement examination, pelvic examination (external and internal if necessary). You will be assessed in a private, clean room and you can bring a chaperone if you wish. The findings will be discussed with you and you will set goals and make a plan for management. Your personalised treatment might include goal setting, education, journaling, exercises, manual therapy or onward referral.
Aideen really took time to listen to my concerns in such a sensitive, caring way
I would highly recommend Aideen and her fantastic practice. I completed a Women’s Health assessment with Aideen and I have to say the whole process was so professional, relaxed and informative. Aideen really took time to listen to my concerns in such a sensitive, caring way. She ensured she had gained all the information she needed from me before the physical assessment.
During the physical assessment Aideen put me at ease and made me feel very confident in her abilities. She explained the whole process step by step and answered every question I had. Aideen explained everything so well and made very practical recommendations and suggestions.
There was no awkwardness or embarrassment, just exceptional care. Aideen has very high standards with regard to hygiene and Covid 19 compliance that also allayed any concerns I would have had. Aideen’s facilities are clean, bright and private. The setting, overlooking a river, is calming. Aideen is so passionate and knowledgeable about Women’s health issues and really ensures the process is natural, informal and tailored to your needs.
Aideen has made my journey since giving birth such a positive experience
I cannot recommend Aideen of YOUtherapies highly enough. I have been working with her since 3 weeks postpartum to help my diastasis and to regain strength and control of my pelvic floor again. Aideen has made my journey since giving birth such a positive experience despite my initial fears and I have a very positive outlook for returning to all the things I love under her guidance.
Aideen works in such a way as to put you at complete ease and it’s not at all embarrassing which you might worry about before 1st visit (I know I did). I think every woman postpartum or who is symptomatic in any way should check in with a women’s health physio and Aideen is definitely one of the best!
